This is the first in a series of videos I will be making in order to demystify the Japanese language through short but informative lessons!

example sentences:

1.okaasan wa ogenki desu ka?
(How is your mother?)

2. Michiko: ogenki desu ka? (How are you?) Ken: sugoku genki desu! (I'm great!)

3. takahashi mo genki desu yo! (Takahashi is also doing fine!)

4. genki datta? (How have you been?)


*NOTES:
remember that the phrase "ogenki deus ka" literally means "fine are you?" so what your really asking is "are you fine?"
